Compatibility & Requirements
Q: Is my car compatible with Android ATC head units?
A: To check if your car is compatible with Android ATC head units, I need:
Your car's year, make, and model
One photo of your front console showing the current head unit and gear console positions
From these details, I can determine compatibility. Your vehicle must have space for a double din slot to work with our Android infotainment systems. We support over 500 car models including Honda, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, Skoda, Citroen, Peugeot, Volvo, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Maserati, Volkswagen, and more.
Installation Process
Q: How long does installation take and what's the process?
A: Standard installation takes 2 hours for most vehicles. For more complex cars with advanced CAN-BUS requirements, installation can take up to 4 hours. By reviewing your full car specifications, I can give you a more accurate time estimate for your specific vehicle.
We recommend booking your installation appointment about 3 days in advance. Lead time from order to installation is typically one week or less. Mobile installation is also available with advance booking.

Q: What features and warranty do I get?
A: Your Android ATC system includes:

Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
Access to popular apps: Google apps, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Spotify
Fast, responsive performance with no lag
Compatible with 500+ car models
Regular firmware updates

After 24 Months: Service fees apply starting from S$30 depending on the work required.
Setup & Connection
Q: How do I set up wireless CarPlay/Android Auto?
A: Step-by-Step Setup Process:
Initial Connection: Connect your phone to the device via Bluetooth first
Launch CarLink: Open and tap the CarLink app on the headunit
Proper Exit Procedure: When finished, tap "Exit" on the CarPlay/Android Auto interface, then tap "WiFi ON" on the Android headunit. This toggles off the Bluetooth hotspot tethering - you MUST do this for successful future pairings
Connection Settings: Use 2.4GHz connection instead of 5GHz for better stability
CarLink App Settings: Avoid using auto-connection on the CarLink app as it can be disruptive when you don't want to use it
Troubleshooting:
If connection fails, restart the headunit
Check if you need updated CarLink app version
Ensure your phone's iOS/Android version is current
Always follow the proper exit procedure for reliable reconnection
Q: How do I connect to WiFi and what about data usage?
A: Two Methods for Internet Connection:
Method 1: SIM Card
Insert a SIM card directly into the Android ATC device
Device will use mobile data independently from the inserted SIM card
Provides consistent internet connection without draining your phone battery
Method 2: WiFi Hotspot
Connect to your phone's WiFi hotspot
Can also connect to any other mobile hotspot device
Uses your phone's data plan or separate hotspot device data
Data Usage Considerations:
Streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ will consume significant data
Consider unlimited data plans if you plan to stream frequently
Monitor your data usage especially when using Method 2 (phone hotspot) to avoid exceeding your mobile plan limits
Recommendation: Choose the method that best fits your data plan and usage habits.
Troubleshooting
Q: Why is my system running slow or lagging?
A: Common Causes: Lagging is usually due to processor or RAM speed limitations, especially on older devices.
Troubleshooting Steps:
For devices over 2 years old:
Clear all data and reset to factory settings
Perform app updates for all applications after reset
This should restore optimal performance
Important Note: If your device runs an outdated Android version, even after reset and updates, most modern apps require a better operating environment to perform properly.
Think of it like your phone: Android ATC systems behave similarly to smartphones - the longer you use a specific model, the more performance may decline over time as apps become more demanding and the hardware ages.
When to consider upgrading: If performance issues persist after factory reset and updates, it may be time to consider upgrading to a newer Android ATC model with better processor and RAM specifications.
Q: My apps aren't working properly or won't update. What should I do?
A: Common Causes: App issues are usually due to hardware or firmware version limitations. Older hardware may not support newer app updates that require higher Android versions.
Solutions Available:
Firmware Updates: We can update your firmware or even try to "redate" it to make apps compatible. You might lose some features, but as long as you can watch your favorite Netflix movie, most users find this acceptable.
Google Services Impact: Google services have significant effects on many apps we use today, so ensuring proper Google services integration is crucial for app functionality.
When Updates Don't Work: If firmware updates and compatibility adjustments don't resolve the issue, you may need to replace your device with a newer model that supports current app requirements.
Our Approach: We'll work with you to find the best solution - whether through firmware updates, compatibility adjustments, or advising on hardware upgrades based on your specific app needs.
Warranty & Support
Q: What should I do if my warranty claim is needed?
A: Warranty Claim Requirements:
Video Evidence Required: You must provide video evidence clearly showing the fault or issue with your device.
Purchase Documentation: Keep your invoice for at least 2 years, whether physical copy or soft copy. If you purchased from Android ATC directly, we base warranty eligibility on your last communication with us. If you bought from elsewhere, forward a soft copy of your invoice to the ATC website.
Claim Process:
Contact Android ATC with video evidence of the fault
Provide purchase documentation (invoice)
Device must be removed from vehicle and either:
Sent to us for one-to-one exchange, OR
Collected in person for local purchases
Important: Labor fees for removal/reinstallation are not covered under warranty - only the device replacement itself.

Demo & Purchase
Q: Can I get a demo before buying, and how does that work?
A: Yes, we strongly encourage demos before purchase!
Why We Recommend Demos: You may think you know everything about Android head units, but you don't need to know everything to buy something. It's better to come over, look at the different variants, and see which one feels right for you to really have fun with or "invest" in.
Important Note: Although I might have 12 AI working for me, it would be better to ping me up in the most traditional way by WhatsApp or calling in. I might not be available as I would prefer not to lose that personal touch for not being able to attend to you in person.

Product Comparison
Q: What's the difference between your Android ATC models and generic Chinese Android players?
A: Key Difference: Usability vs. Complexity
Android ATC S12 Series:
Designed for human usability with customization tailored to individual needs
Built for daily functions that you actually use
Intuitive interface that works the way you think
No need to spend time figuring out how to use basic features
Generic China-made Android Players:
Require extensive user exploration just to use the device properly
You spend more time trying to figure out how to use it than actually enjoying it
Generic interface not optimized for real-world daily driving needs
Often frustrating user experience
The Bottom Line: With Android ATC, you get a system that's customizable and usable for your daily functions. With generic players, you're constantly trying to use the device properly instead of just using it naturally.
Additional Android ATC Advantages:
500+ car model compatibility
Regular firmware updates
24-month warranty
Professional installation and support
Telegram community with 800+ members for ongoing support
You get it? It's about having a tool that works for you, not against you.
